IWIXS® is a DJ and producer from Sommelsdijk, South Holland, focused on rawstyle and industrial hard dance.
His journey into music started with piano at a young age, before discovering electronic music through Faded by Alan Walker. This led him into DJing and music production, where he began developing his own sound.
Since his first major performance at Kidsstock Festival in 2023, IWIXS® has continued to grow through live performances and consistent releases. His music gained traction online with tracks like Place To Hide and Clarity, each reaching over 100,000 views, while also marking his first international performance in China.
It all began around 2016–2017 at his grandfather’s restaurant, where someone working there introduced him to piano. Playing alongside him sparked an early interest and marked his first real connection with music.
Not long after, that same person sadly passed away in 2018. Despite this, the impact remained. What started as a small moment continued to grow into a genuine passion for music.
Around the same time, his sister also became interested in piano, which led their mother to sign her up for lessons. He joined as well, and over time, his passion grew even stronger. What started as curiosity gradually developed into something serious, and he still plays piano to this day.
About a year later, everything changed when his sister started learning Faded by Alan Walker. That track created a strong interest in electronic music, which led him to explore more.
During that search, he discovered DJing. He downloaded Serato and started experimenting, just playing around and learning the basics. Not long after, he bought his first controller, the DDJ-200. From that moment on, he was fully hooked.
Soon after getting into DJing, he discovered music production. He downloaded FL Studio and began making remakes of popular tracks. Looking back, they weren’t great, but they were an important starting point and part of the learning process.
As his interest grew, he decided to take it more seriously and invested in the FL Studio All Plugins Edition. From there, he started creating his own music and experimenting with different styles, including progressive house, bass house, and future bounce.
In 2023, he reached an important milestone: his first major performance at Kidsstock Festival. This opportunity came through DJ Bootcamp Rotterdam, led by DJ Sir Edward, who helped open doors through his network.
Around the same time, he was active at a local youth activity center, where he built connections with the staff and started playing regularly. These performances led to more bookings through recommendations, and that network still supports him today.
These early performances were key in building confidence, experience, and understanding how to connect with a crowd.
In 2024, he made a sudden but defining shift in his music. He moved away from future bounce and transitioned into rawstyle, inspired by artists like Dual Damage before they became widely known.
This marked a turning point. His sound became harder, darker, and more energetic. Over time, this evolved further into industrial rawstyle, while occasionally experimenting with uptempo hardcore influences.
In 2025, everything started gaining momentum online. He began posting consistently on TikTok, at first gaining around 80 likes per video.
He continued teasing and releasing music, building a steady presence. Then came the turning point: the first teaser of Place To Hide. The track quickly gained traction, reaching around 5,000 likes and 100,000 views.
Not long after, he released Clarity, which pushed things even further. The track reached around 8,000 likes and 120,000 views. Both Place To Hide and Clarity became major milestones, boosting his visibility and audience.
During this period, his Spotify also started growing, reaching around 800 monthly listeners.
In the summer of 2025, he reached another milestone: his first international performance in Fuzhou, China. This opportunity came through family connections, as his father grew up there.
This experience marked an important step in expanding beyond the Netherlands and performing in a completely different environment.
Back in the Netherlands, he continued releasing music and building recognition. Tracks like Time To Die also gained streams and attention.
His sound has now fully evolved into industrial rawstyle, while still occasionally exploring uptempo hardcore. In 2026, he began entering DJ contests, including the Get Wrecked DJ Contest. Although he didn’t win, it became another step in his growth and motivation to keep improving.
He continues entering competitions, performing, and pushing himself to reach higher levels.
With a strong foundation, growing audience, and constant drive to improve, IWIXS® is focused on building his name within the harder styles scene.
The goal is clear: bigger stages, stronger releases, and an international presence — with the ultimate ambition of joining a leading label such as Gearbox Digital.
